How to pair Signa S2 soundbar with TV remote

Hi, been searching for a few hours on how to pair our Samsung TV remote to control the Signa S2 sound bar. Found a ton of instructions for other soundbars on YouTube and other places. But nothing for Signa S2. We are connected with an Optical Cable b/c 2010 Samsung TV doesn't have HDMI ARC output. We had it working with Comcast remote, but dropped Cable and can't figure this out. In fact, in the process we can't even get the sound to work using the volume up/down on the bar. Scared to reset bar b/c I don't want it to unpair to the Subwoofer. Any ideas? thanks

Hello,
If the TV doesn't have HDMI ARC capability then only the supplied remote will control the soundbar.

Actually, we were able to pair it with the Comcast remote, so it does work. We just wanted to stop using the Comcast remote since we have stopped using cable. Just needed to pair it to the Samsung remote instead of Comcast. So I know it's possible. Just hoped to figure it out without calling our TV guy to come back out!

It might have been that the Comcast remote was programed to duplicate the functions of the Polk remote. In that case the Samsung would have to have learning capability.

i have two xfinity xr 15 remotes,i am usin g a polk signa s2 sound bar,one remote works fine,the other will not let me control the audio nor the speaker.

Can't seem to get sound bar to automatically work when tv is turned on. Vizio TV and Signa S2. Have to turn TV on, then press tv on Signa remote, hold down volume button, toggle back and forth between tv button and volume button every time.....then suddenly volume blares out. But doesn't stay on when we fast forward or use any other function.
