I got gas for $1.98 a couple days ago, and that was 93 octane. I have no idea what regular 87 prices are.

I put 2.50 Gal. 93 octane in my car a couple of weeks ago. I think my car was set up to run H.O. because she sure runs a lot better lately. B)

    Well this is good news!

    https://www.marketwatch.com/tools/marketsummary

Close to double digit percentages in gains today.

Not so good news for all those people that liquidated their stocks, though. Bet most of them hate "rich people" and think they should all pay their fair share. They are gonna defecate a masonry object come tax season next year when they get slammed with a capital gains tax. Would REALLY be a drag if they made enough of a difference from purchase to valuation at sale to cause income to bump them up a tax bracket.

Our little City goes into Lock Down tomorrow, until April 24th. I ran up to the Corner Liquor Store and picked up an extra 30 Pack to tide me over for a while.

I asked the Cashier "Everything is shutting down tomorrow, this place is surely "Essential" isn't it"?

She replied "Yep, we'll be here!" my fears were unfounded :)

Some good news from my little part of the planet is I just got back from the grocery store for the first time in over a week. The only thing that I noticed that was in short supply was people.......which is a good thing. Plenty of fresh produce, meats, tp, paper products, cleaning supplies etc. The very few people in there kept their distance, no line at the register and it was right in and right out. Now I'm set for at least another week hopefully.

    That reminded me...^^^^^^^

There were 8 registers open out of 9 or 10 in my local Harris Teeter today. There's usually 2 or 3.
There was a self check-out tender wiping down the Screens and coin/change dispenser after almost every one of us.

    Impressive. ;)

I then went to get Chick-fil-A tenders for dinner...

The drive thru was the only access open and the line wrapped twice around the building! :o
I got in line and it didn't move much...so I jumped out of line and came home and cooked a big ham slice and potatoes for us. ;)

Maps showing the virus around the world seem to show no cases in Russia. At least it seems that way with the ones I have seen. I can’t believe that Russia is not affected, but it’s hard to believe they can cover it up.

Gallon of regular gas was $1.79 at (large, warehouse-type, membership only club), but their storage shelves need replenishment.
I also just ordered 200 gallons of #2 heating oil, total with tax was $307.30 [1.49/gal]

Not too bad for our little neck o' the island.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Yesterday was the official start of only essential businesses to stay open. I find it amusing that beer, wine and pot are essential. Granted I know the government makes a killing on the taxes which they need right now with all the bailouts.

    Some good news....

A news story says the new over-the-top pass out money bill, they managed to keep out forcing a $15 minimum wage addition!

Now to see as they find time to actually read it, whether they managed to keep out the Green Bad Deal previsions and all the other unrelated pork.

Wow, the Gov. is worried about Alcohol withdrawals so the Gov. KEEPS THE DRUG FLOWING.

But when it comes to ELDERLY PEOPLE like myself who liked the pain killing effects of pain pills, the Gov. stepped in a few years back and said NO...NO...you are becoming addicted to them therefore you must find another drug to deal with that pain.

    This Hypocrisy is unbelievable.

The good news in this is I can go buy some hard liquor or even moonshine if I want and kill any pain a human might have until I wake up again.
