    I got news for y'all.

It you gotta TELL people that you are good and/or not stupid, you're neither.

You're actions, demeanor and character will clue people in without you even trying. Then everyone else will tell everyone else that you are good and smart for you. All you'll have to do is sit back and enjoy your beer.

Since the dawn of our species, we have always sought to be led. There was always a leader, a chief, usually one smarter and stronger than the rest. Does that make the tribe stupid for following ?

Stupid ? I don't think so considering we've survived this long especially through countless diseases and viruses and wars.

What we've lost in my opinion is the ability to critically think for ourselves..Sounds simple, but it's surprisingly absent in today's society. We depend far too much on someone else telling us what to do, when to do it, and how.

Some need that, they need to be led around by the nose. Less for them to worry about too. Others are natural born leaders, warriors, chiefs, CEO's, Presidents, world leaders, military men. They take charge, create paths forward, kick but t. They have an air of confidence around them that some lesser people would not.

We don't build that confidence into our young men and women anymore. Instead we fill them up with entitlement, victimhood, radicalization.

Stupid ? In some sense, yes. We just have a hard time learning from past mistakes and let history repeat itself.

quoted for truth; personal experience tells me that when people feel the need to tell you how good they are it usually means they're not.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. Too often, in my humble opinion, stupidity and ignorance are confused. Also, rational and emotional tendencies confuse the issue. Good and bad are also difficult because you first need to decide whether they are relative or absolute terms.

I often ponder the comment that human beings are not rational animals; rather, they are capable of reason. Ignorance and emotion both operate to the detriment of reason.

Of course, there is also self-interest at play — to my mind one of the worst enemies to reason and goodness (absolute or relative).

These are the ruminations of a man who has been sheltering in place for almost four weeks.
