Command bar does not connect to TV after updating ... brandnew

Hi
I bought the polk command bar today and before using the app it played the TV sound without problems. Then I started the app and connected to my WIFI and Amazon and it immediately told me that it will load an update. After the update I had an error message in the app but there was nothing I needed to do.
Now it plays Amazon Music and Alexa without problems, but it does not play the TV sound at all.
I tried to re-do the connection process with the app, but it does not work, the program always fails. My command bar does not appear in the app anymore but it still works with Alexa and Amazon music.
What can I do to make it work alright? Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi, I got exactly the same issue after having connected to Amazon account, it has updated a new firmware which made Alexa and stopped playing the TV sound. I tried to rest default settings. Have you solved the issue after all this time and how?

Are you able to use an HDMI ARC cable between TV and soundbar? That would give the best sonic performance.
