    You could definitely upgrade those. Both Douglas Connection and Audioquest offer upgrade tiers for hearing enhancement devices.

    Dynamat the shells and mass load with lead shot for tighter sound and better isolation from ambient interference.

    Swap earpieces for Permatex “The Right Stuff” form-in-place gasket for permanent custom fit.

    Each of these makes a noticeable difference. I’ve seen it a million times.

    New wires or cables won't help.........But you should strongly consider going from SS to tubes.

    Crossover rebuild will help as well. A Dreadnaught will take things to a completely different level. Check with VR3 for a Monastery Level III crossover and you will be set for life.
