Every code I have got (hundreds) came from a Blu Ray or 4K disc and has had 1080P as the norm.

I don’t down load them ....
Most smart TVs have an app , like VUDU , that will play the movie .
Or , you can cast the movie from the iPad app to the tv via chromecast .....
Beats having hundreds of discs laying around.
