SACD Player

Looking for suggestions on a good SACD player or universal. I'd like it to be better for 2 channel than my Oppo bdp-103. I'm at about $400 but would go higher for the right one if it's a universal and I could sell the Oppo to help facilitate.

You might find a used Marantz SA8004 in that price range.

Steer away from the Denon's, many of the forum members (including myself with 2 of them) now have expensive doorstops.

For that price range, I must agree with Jesse. Personally, I'd sell the Oppo and see what price range you are in at that point. That's just me though.

If you would like, I have a lightly used Denon DBP-1611UD (same as Marantz UD5005) that I could part with that would be well under that $.

I've had some good hits. Waiting on Dan but may consider a dedicated cd player, also

I have quite a few Cambridge Audio components that may be what your looking for - the CXUHD 4K player - no analogue inputs but does both 2 channel and multi channel SACD via HDMI - if you want analogue inputs, then the 752BD will suit as it play SACD via HDMI or via 7.1 channel analogue inputs (Blu-Ray player that up specs to 4K video as well). This player also has a dedicated 2 channel analogue input for stereo as well (which I use for CD play back) as the 7.1 analogue inputs.

Have that 851C as well, which is a dedicated CD player but doesn't play SACD.
