I think it would be good to make this thread an announcement/sticky thread so that it does not get buried as time passes.

Welcome to the forum. A reference thread for the L800 is a good idea. Such a thread should be made as an "announcement/sticky" type thread that is always shown at the top of a forum section so that it does not get buried over the course of time.
One of our moderators, @CassidyStains or @AlmaGarcia can designate a thread as an "announcement". For reference, see the "announcement" threads at the top of the vintage speaker sub-forum.
...
This thread is already two pages long and is devoid of any member first hand information pertaining to the L800s. I can imagine what it will look like several weeks from now.
Again, welcome to the forum. I look forward to reading your insights on the L800s.
(and, also, https://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/187813/looking-forward-to-l800-but-have-concerns-what-are-your-thoughts/p1)
Since Polk has a (relatively) new, and fairly serious, new line of loudspeakers, might a separate (sub) forum just for the "Legend" series improve the signal to noise ratio for discussions pertaining specifically to them?
E.g., the existing L200 demo/review thread(s) and the recent L800 thread could be moved to it.
Just musing, I am.

there should be a thread for L800 ONLY.... which i created. I have ZERO interest in any other POLK products... I only came for the new SDA incarnation.
See the thread already started. Thats where I will be posting.

Sure, why not?
The proliferation of stickies is OK (and not uncommon at some forums*) -- but, given their importance (as I perceive it) to the Polk brand for the near/mid-term, I would (still) posit that a dedicated subforum for the Legend products wouldn't be a bad idea.
I would like to think that Polk's corporate owners are pinning their future strategy for the brand name on the Legend models (at least in terms of audio -- as opposed to HT).
Speaking of HT, I do hope the current crop of L800 posters don't forget about the "Atmos" option for the L800.

* Another approach to handling sticky proliferation at another forum (e.g.)
Note that the second sticky thread in the screenshot above houses a collection of links to many other oft-referenced threads (sort of virtual stickies for those threads).
This approach could be used as well.

Using sophisticated software algorithms, Dolby Surround isolates the ambient elements of a recording and recreates them with lifelike realism. And here’s the cool part: the reflected-sound speakers are even better at rendering this effect than on-wall or in-ceiling speakers.
Now, I understand it’s perhaps a bit heretical to suggest that Atmos constitutes an upgrade for 2-channel listening. But unlike silly stuff like cable risers and python-thick power cords, Atmos does something that directly relates to real-world listening. Plus, if you don’t like what Dolby Surround is doing, you can turn it off with the press of a button—no loss.
