Hi there. I recently bought HTS 10 sub - I received it yesterday. The sub is connected via double RCA cable to the Pre Amp output of may integrated amplifier Primare I20. Thing is that sub does not wake up when I switch on amplifier. Reconnecting the RCA cable does not help. Touching the sub RCA terminals with my finger does not help either. Switching to 12V trigger and back does not help. The only thing that helps is pulling out power supply cable but is is not normal.

It won't wake up until there is sound produced below the crossover cut off.Political Correctness'.........defined

It does not help. I played a lot of music on different volumes without result. Usually disconnecting the RCA should help as it is a big signal peak.

Dude, you cannot connect/disconnect RCA cables while a piece of gear is powered up as that will blow things up.
Exactly what output on your integrated amp are you using to connect with the sub? Is the power switch on the back of the sub set to auto? Where is the volume knob set on the sub? Where is the crossover knob set on the sub?

Volume - a little more than medium. Crossover is set to 80HZ. I tested with 160Hz - did not help. Switch is set to auto.
Regarding output - it is preamp as I wrote in my first posts. Reconnecting RCA was done with volume knob turned down to minimum. -
Ok, I'd have to say you either received a bad sub or you blew it up connecting/disconnecting the RCA cables while your gear was powered up.Political Correctness'.........defined

That makes no difference.Political Correctness'.........defined

I do not know what to think. I disconnect the power cord. Connected again to power on and waited 20min for the sub to go down to stand by mode. I had volume set to minimum and x/o set to around 80Hz and sub woke up once I started to play music. But last ten attempts it did not. I use **** RCA cord right now and waiting for the delivery of the good ones. Maybe that is the problem. If it was blew up it would not power on now. Just thinking.

I changed my RCA cord for out of the box decent quality ones - 5m long properly shielded and insulated made of OFC copper. Nothing has changed. I have already informed shop about that defect so I will let you know about the outcome. Meantime waiting for the courier to pick up I will give another try with another RCA cord. You never know.
