I think $350 is low on the value of a 200x3 B&K. I'd put it in the $500-$600 range.

Imho its not too low for that one, its too old and not a reference line. Made in the mid to late 90s. I picked up a similar model on the bay for right around $350 shipped a few years ago fwiw...

But hey, at the end of the day its worth whatever one person is willing to pay!

Ray, I know you were not serious, just maybe someone on here might not have. Yes I'm into saltwater deep see fishing. One of my goals this year is to get on a 3/4 or full day boat at least once a month from April to Oct. Most of the time I go out on Seaforth.

I put it on C/L asking $450 https://sandiego.craigslist.org/ssd/ele/d/chula-vista-bk-reference-4430-amplifier/7060601224.html If someone offered me $300 I think I'd take it.

I was thinking of using it at work but then I'd have to get a preamp. That would cut into the fishing budget.

You could just pick up a cheap BlueDento DAC and stream music from your phone which could control the volume.

$300-$350 sound about right. Plus many that shop CL are always trying to bargain so listing a little higher is not a bad thing. I've always believed in pricing fair but started to add wiggle room to my price. I had the 3 channel 4430 myself as well as a Parasound HCA-1203A at one time. Both were nice amps.

I'm a fan of 3 ch amps. Currently I'm after a used Odyssey Audio Stratos HT-3 mated with an old Lexicon MC-8 Pre/Pro for budget music/theater system. The Lexicon unit is supposed to be a great music preamp also. The cost to buy a new high performing dual system today is just utterly expensive. Used amps like the B&K models are such great price to performance options . I just missed out on a 6 channel 7260 II that sold for $600 on ebay. That amp would have been a cool mate with the Lexicon unit.

    $6000 pre/pro & $2800 amp that can be had for $850 used.

Heck man, maybe I might be interested in the amp? I have several pieces I'm looking at right now so let me see what direction I take.

    Yeah,

Either I'm under pricing stuff or something.

With this amp I've sold the SR5010, and BasX-A300 all within a week. But the beast Sony ES AVR took over a month.

The buyer today drove close to 100 miles to meet me at the office for the amp, guess he must have wanted it.

    thanks Ray,

Been 10 years since I've been on the water, already pulling out the reels. Fresh drags and grease.

Funny I went through a several year period that I was on the water almost every weekend, even kept a skiff in Newport for local and then friend’s bigger boats or charters for the islands. Once my son was born I sold my boat thinking I would get a bigger one with a cabin once he was older. Started surfing more and fishing took a back burner, 15 years later no boat and garage full of boards. Best boats are other people’s 😃 If you are looking for any gear let me know. Great to hear you are getting back to it.
