Pretty funny read, but that guy in the picture looks pretty familiar. I swear I seen him at the Local Barnes & Noble with a Taylor Swift album in his hand checking out the Crosley record players, only his shirt was blue plaid, and the frames of his wayfarers was light gray marble type color. Dude must get aroundHome Theater

Further-ly ironic in this case, is that one of the greatest insults to a hipster is to tell a hipster that he looks like other hipsters. Or, in other words, to call a hipster a hipster.
(I'm a bit hipster so it's okay when I say it)
Check out this hipster:

There is a local bike club here in the twin cities that all have those old big wheel bikes.
A lot of respect out to them from me. They have to make their own solid rubber tires for the front wheel because nobody makes them any more. Very dedicated to keeping the legend of those old bikes alive.
Big props out to those guys!

I LOVE these T-shirts showing old school stereo stuff in artsy ways.

I think this new Mac amplifier may define irony nearly as well

Somehow, this "hybrid" McIntosh amp reminded me of the hybrid Lamborghini Sian I read about today -- 774 horsepower V12 with an electric motor that "contributes" 34 horsepower for a grand total of 807 horses (the loss of 1 horsepower must be from rounding):

Yes, I know, the electric motor gives immediate torque at low speeds and supplements acceleration along the way.Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. Power source for all components: Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One with dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel.
Exercise Room, Innuos Streamer via Cat 6 cable connection to PS Audio PerfectWave MkII DAC w/Bridge II, AQ King Cobra RCAs to Perreaux PMF3150 amp (fully restored and upgraded by Jeffrey Jackson, Precision Audio Labs), Supra Rondo 4x2.5 Speaker Cables to SDA 1Cs (Vr3 Mods Xovers and other mods.), Dreadnaught with Supra Rondo 4x2.5 interconnect cables by Vr3 Mods. Power for each component from dedicated 20 amp circuit to main panel, except Innuos Statement powered from Silver Circle Audio Pure Power One. -
Well, I mean, a treble amp, bass amp, and crossover in one box seems like a product being demanded by approximately zero audiophiles. Even with a big blue meter (with two needles).
This being 2019, I assume the XO's digital. I mean, Mac is all cuttin' edge 'n' stuff, right?
In the early 1980s... I put an AM-FM stereo radio/cassette deck in our 1980 Oldsmobile (X body) Omega (a hand-me-down from the in-laws; our first family car, bordello red velour upholstery and all!) that had that same stuff in it. stereo biamplification and 'electronic crossover' (analog, of course) right on board! Yep.
It was a Sanyo, bought from the annual Stereo Discounters show and sale at the MD State Fairgrounds in Timonium! No blue meters, though.
The radio was probably the best thing about that car, objectively speaking.
