Wireless noise cancelling headset needed for wife

I've decided it's time to either install an insulated pocket door between the living room and the game room where my 2 channel rig sits...or buy a set of nc headsets. The headsets will certainly be easier and cheaper. I will need to also buy a transmitter since none of my audio stuff or tv is bluetooth capable.
Looking for opinions of how well these things work. Audio quality is of no concern(she really don't care how good it is) but I want to be sure that signal will be good(she would sit within 12' of the transmitter) and she can't hear my music from another room. I'm not spending big $$ here but hoping somebody out there has gone down this road and has some opinions to share.

Maybe too late to help, but here's my $0.02. For the transmitter I have used:

I have several of these and use them in cars that don't have BT but have AUX-in. It has pretty low latency (40ns) but still can be noticed while watching TV using Bose QC35's (which aren't Aptx). It's watchable depending on how sensitive you are. I think even their newer Headphones 700 doesn't support it but I haven't picked up a pair yet to try out. Sorry, only really experienced with Bose since I get a discount.
Proprietary RF solutions are out there that have lower latency but I don't know any that have ANR. If they are over-the-ear type then they will reduce some noise just by covering the ear (passive NR).
BTW, active noise reduction (also referred to as NC) doesn't do so well with lows and high noise cancellation. Music will still be heard somewhat. It's greatly reduced but still can be heard if played high enough. You may want to ensure you have a good return policy in case you buy something and it doesn't work.

This is the one that is on the way to me. Says low latency but no actual spec. She'll probably be fine with it but, too much of a delay will be a problem for sure.Yep, my name really is Bob.

So are these to block out the sound of your wife? or are they for her to block out your sounds?

I doubt they make anything that will block her out.Yep, my name really is Bob.
