Your sound bar has two ways to adjust the volume. The sound bar itself, and the tv’s volume. If you increase the tv’s volume, the sound bar’s volume should also increase.

So if you find that 40, or whatever number you choose, is the level you like, every time you turn the set on, that volume should come out of the sound bar.

As far as bass, there are a few “mode” selections on your sound bar remote. If you like the bass response for the music mode for movies, as an example, just leave it there. As far as an actual way to save the bass setting as +2 in movie mode, I don’t believe you can do that.

I don’t own that sound bar, nor work for Polk, so could be mistaken. You may want to give it a try.
