She is one of my faves, along with Sylvie Vartan -

An old favorite from Quebec.

Francoise Hardy is the prettiest of the era. She must not be related to Doc Hardy.

Wow, not so sure...Sylvie Vartan? -
Re: Ms Hardy (gotta say that with a comical Fraaaannnch accent -- 'arrrrrrrdeee): no comment.
As noted above, Canada is, technically outside of America/England...
We saw a fave Canadian band last night in Natick, MA.

Ms Timmins could sing the contents of the Toronto Phone Book* and she'd keep my attention for from A to Z[ed].

I like this one. It certainly had an effect on me when I was a teenager in the late 60s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3Fa4lOQfbAMcIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. Serge Gainsbourg... a rather edgy genius, to say the least (the edgy part especially), and his English muse, Jane Birkin.Alea jacta est!

It's strange. I never had many thoughts about France, nor much interest in visiting the place for that matter, but this music's having an effect on me. I'm convinced that life occurs in slow motion in France on only sunny days with cute friendly women everywhere, and that these soundtracks play out loud over the warm scenes and landscapes in realtime. Seems like a neat place to visit.I disabled signatures.

Right! I got into the French Ye ye scene a few years back.
It was like a whole world of good pop/rock music that was at times great and often very good, that was ignored completely by american listeners.
It was like unwrapping a gift on christmas day! -

He collaborated also with France Gall and Bridget Bardot.(among others)
The Bonnie and Clyde song is sensational!
