Would you believe $450 obo ? http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?preatran&1087957356
If not, then what's the budget ? -
Spastic--
the only thing that "scared" me off of the Adcoms w/tuner was the listings on ebay I was seeing that had "preamp section works great, but tuner quit working." I'd wager that 40% of the Adcoms I saw had this comment. I don't know, maybe they've ironed-out the problems on later equipment. That was enough to keep me from going Adcom w/tuner.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
yeah faster pointed that out to me and have noticed that. Doesnt have to be Adcom but is preffered. Can always get a tuner rack if it were to go out.Life without music would♭

Forget Adcom active preamps altogether.
Get THIS and add a tuner to fit your budget.
Separates man, separates. A tuner REALLY needs its own power supply, and to be isolated from the amp / pre power supply.
Go passive, and you'll never go back to a sand preamp again.

Paul, i was actually looking at this pre- the other day, but didnt really know what it was... Its a non powered pre i guess, passive... cool.. will you lose any volume from useing a passive compared to a regular pre-amp?MY HT RIG:
