  • Interesting take. Love Dave Chappell, who would have thought he’s a hobby farmer in a small town in Ohio, when he’s not making people laugh.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Yep, he strolls the streets of Yellow Springs Ohio just like any other resident and is treated the same. His wife owns and runs a small gift shop there as well.

That's a very interesting take on it, and a quite 'real' perspective.

Not really, it's a decades old idea that unfortunately the courts don't view. Think how lopsided divorce law is, especially in a day of empowered and equal women. Things have never been equal when it comes to the subject title or a mans money.

Dave Chappelle says it and he's suddenly a deep thinker ? Where's Snoop Dogg when ya need him. :D

Sadly, that concept is lost far too often in our society. You don’t have to agree with everything someone says or feels, or the ability to find value in a viewpoint that’s different from your own.

Well, I have first-hand experience with divorce law. In retrospect, I probably got off easy.

Reading the article, which was really just a recap of his stand-up bit on the subject, I think it was interesting how he set the audience up, and then put the twist on. He and Snoop have different art forms, but both effective.

Just watched it tonight - funny as heII. True comedy should make you a little uncomfortable - as the old saying goes “behind every joke is a little bit of truth”.
