  • The most important measure of a businesses success is margin dollars.

Not sales dollars, not volume but margin, margin, margin.
The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

It is imperative that we recognize that an opinion is not a fact.

Also, Paul (PSA CEO), publicly stated there would not be any increase in current product price.
It'll be interesting to see how their business model continues to evolve. Because Paul has previously stated publicly that they set prices as "cost × 5" I can't imagine he'd stray too far from that.
What's more interesting to me is their other future lines of business. Speakers are coming, but so is a studio, a record label, and possibly high(er) res internet radio. That's a lot of lines of business to dip into, so it'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Old saying if ya throw enough s**t against the Wall, some of it is bound to stick😂

Good point....and I have a feeling PSA is doing just that. Thing is, why do they have to take such measures if something isn't off kilter ? I have a feeling they are experiencing a bit of a cash flow problem.

The only ones really hurt by this are the dealers who were loyal and represented the product properly (full support to clients, demo opportunities, etc.), which it sounds like PS Audio had none of.

Must add one point of clarification...PSA is going to keep their international dealers (to include Canada).

Skip, you make a good point. Hard to get ears on their gear and, other than playing middle man, the dealers didn't do much with respect to service. But, there are reports of good dealers, too. Won't go as far as saying "PS Audio had none of".

They also appear to have QC issues at times. My BHK 250 was damaged in-transit and I went direct to PSA for a replacement....not Underwood. Not because he couldn't or wouldn't...he would've, but it was much easier to go to the source. My BHK pre also had a faulty IC chip and again, PS Audio direct. I will say they absolutely made things right.

Internationally, it appears they struggle with proper representation. Lots of examples of a less than perfect, shall we say less than "Stellar", experiences. Many folks in Europe have to endure crappy logistics issues when equipment fails. Moving the BHK 250 is no small feat and often shipping one way is on the customer's dime.

TMR rocks ! My Acurus 200x7 came from them after their acquisition of a defunct dealer and it was the first brand new HT amp I have invested in and as tankish as this baby is ..probably the last one too. Love the amp and their service was top flight . If anyone here is after PSA Gear..I would recommend The Music Room.

presumably a spammer replied to this moribund thread -- it was detected, reported, and neutralized.

    Wholly agree.
Dropped my KAV-1500 off with them to sell. They’re only a couple hours from me.

    Great outfit to deal with.
    I highly recommend them.

Wished it wasn’t during Covid as I would have loved to walk thru their place to drool over stuff 😬
