Matching Center Channel?
I have the Polk Monitor 60 Series II speakers: https://amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Monitor-Floorstanding-Speaker/dp/B006QL0XXQ
I've always used them in 2 channel with a HK 3480 but want to start using them as theater speakers, so I need to get a center channel. Is the CS1 or CS10 meant to be used with the monitor 60's? Or is there something else I can get that would look okay and sound decent for less money?
I'll also need to get a 5.1 or similar receiver, any suggestions for under $200? I don't need it to sound great, just better than built in TV speakers.
Thanks!

If you can swing it, I'd consider picking up the LSim-704 for $199 right now at Adorama, as mentioned in another thread. CS1 and CS10 aren't in the same ballpark. I've heard others with Monitor 70's say the 704 sounded great with them.

Your best bet, if that's all you can spend at this time, is to check your local Craigslist for a receiver. In this area, for instance, a fairly nice Yamaha can be had for about $100.
Or for a little more than $200, you can get a Denon from Accessories4less.

I don't think you will find anything cheaper than the CS1 or CS10 that will match your M60's. Again, maybe you could find something on Craigslist, or FB marketplace. -

Hmm, that is tempting haha. I've never bought anything from Adorama. I'm guessing the "E" "E-" and "V"'s are condition ratings? Excellent, very good etc...
If I decide not to go with the LSim, the CS1 is supposedly better matched to the M60's, right? -

My local Craigslist is barren lol. That Denon looks nice, do you know if they have a cheaper model that is only 5.1? I'll never need the 7.1.
Edit: It looks like the S730 is worth the extra over the S540, thoughts? https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/denavrs540bt/denon-avr-s540bt-5.2-ch-x-70-watts-bluetooth-a/v-receiver/1.html -
I didn't see this before. I would definitely consider the Pioneer Elite.

What makes this better than the Denon? I don't know much about receivers. -
It's an Elite, that's the higher end of the Pioneer line. Granted for this price, it's not much different than the Denon, but I would still go with it.
And retail price isn't always a perfect determination of value, but the Pioneer retail list price is $599. -
I would rather have the denon. The newer pioneer stuff does not seem to be in the same ballpark as the older stuff...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

I personally would get the 730 over the 540, but it's your wallet, pick whichever one floats your boat the most.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

I ended up going with an AVR-S930H.
