LSiM 705 and 707's - recommended driving wattage?
I have an Outlaw 5000 Amplifier that provides 120 watts RMS X 5 ways all channels driven simultaneously at 8 Ohms, and 180 at 4 Ohms. Which speaker would benefit most from this level of wattage, 707 or the 705?. I currently have 11 year old LSI 15's and LSIC hooked up and want to upgrade. Thanks! Link to my amp:

Just about any tower speaker will benefit from a high current amplifier. Go with the speaker that fits your room and listening habits. Many have said that the 705 is balanced and the 707 has a big sound that might need a larger room to fully develop the low end.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2

I have a 5000 with a Yamaha RX-A2070 with the 5000 running my 2 705's and my 704 in a 3.1 setup and it has plenty of power. It also depends on how big your room is like WL said above. My room is 16' 10" W by 16'6" D, but about half the 16.6 measurement opens into my kitchen. My speakers face the kitchen.
My son, who used to have a band and took violin for 5 years was just in this last weekend and thought they sounded very good with my setup considering it's not a high end setup. He did make some adjustments on my Yamaha as he has much better ears than me due to my age and has been around music most of his life.Yamaha RX-A2070, Musical Fidelity M6si integrated amp, Benchmark Dac1, Bluesound NODE 2i, Audiolab 6000CDT CD Transport, Parasound Zphono USB Phono Preamp, Fluance RT85, Ortofon 2M Bronze, Polk L600's, L400, L900's, RC80i's, SVS 3000 Micro, Audioquest Interconnects and Digital Cables, Nordost Silver Shadow Digital Cable, Cullen Gold and Crossover Series Power Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha 12AWG OCC Speaker Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha Analog Interconnect Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha 11 OCC Custom Power Cable, Signal Power Cable, Furman PL-8C 15 Power Conditioner, Sony 65" 900F, Sony UBP-X700, Fios, Apple TV 4K, Audioquest Chocolate HDMI Cables. -
Know that your 5000 is capable of 170+ WPC at 8ohm with two channels driven simultaneously.Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

The power output from the Outlaw 5000 is highly under rated. It is a 50LB amp. Every review I've read said the it was 140wX5 or more. When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

How big is a "larger" room? Mine is about 15 X 30 Living Room/Dining Room with no barrier wall. Speakers are at long side of the rectangle in the LR area that has a semi vaulted ceiling...large floor to ceiling windows and 3 glass doors on 2 sides (the end of the long and short short sides is where the LR is & Speakers face 2 windows, flanked by 3 glass doors). Would this qualify?Outlaw Model 976 AV Surround Processor

I think you would be good to run either speaker.
