Def Tech BP8s
Found a decent deal about 30 mi from the house. Gonna swap out Q Acoustics for a while. Should definitely pair with the CLR2002 center. Never owned a DT floorstander, so kinda curious.

I have had a pair for a bunch of years. Really decent speakers. Because of the bipolar design, keep them out about 18” from the front wall.See my profile for list of gear.

Will do

I've owned 2 sets of BP10's and now own a set of BP30's.
They have a sound all their own but it's a darn great sound.
Very SPACIOUS sound. You'll see. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
Powerful towers too. Great value when purchased used.
-
Just remember there are two versions, the bp8 and the bp8b
The bp8 uses off the shelf vifa drivers
The bp8b uses def tech proprietary drivers
The resale value varies greatly between the two- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Pretty sure they are just 8s. Prob why I got em for $150. Vifa are good drivers tho.
-
You can tell by the tweeter, the bp8 has a black soft dome and the bp8b has an aluminum dome- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
-
Is that the same for the SM series bookies? I have metal domes on mine
-
Did BP8s ever come with soft dome tweets?
-
Yes, the original bp8 had a soft dome vifa tweetee
The original bookshelf line was the dr7 for def tech. The sm350nand sm450 have always used def tech drivers- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I have to correct my earlier post.
I had 2 pr's of BP10b's. They were amazing sounding!
I was JUST out in the cottage and turned the BP30's on for a minute...
Oh Yea!Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
That’s why I find it hard to let mine go I guess.

Canceling the sale. My CLR2002 has an aluminum dome tweet, so I want the fronts to have the same.
-

Wow, that's a deal. -
Facebook market place is a great place to look...
Found those and my Wilson's I had on Facebook- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I went ahead and got the speaks. Glad I did as I love their tone. Tight punchy bass as well and very easy to listen to at low levels.

This deal on centers is fairly local to me - not sure if the seller would split one out of the group. I can acquire and pick/ship if interested.

Disregard then - sorry, should have researched it a bit. Just saw them in my nightly cruising of classifieds last night.
