What do I do with these?

Hello,

So yesterday I put some tunes on the good ole Sony DVP3100ES Cd/DVD player. While kicking back enjoying I looked at my setup and got the WTF am I thinking. I'm playing tunes through a 15+ year old Sony when I have an Oppo sitting right there...

I pulled the old Sony out today, one less HDMI Cable, one less power cable. one less remote. I went to put it away and oh yeah there is an old Pioneer Elite Blu-Ray player in storage too.

What do I do with these players. Goodwill won't take them, they told me to go to an electronics recycle. I hate to trash two good players.

If someone want to come by they are all free. I don't know if shipping these old players is worth it.

Cheers

L
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

That’s odd that goodwill won’t take them...

Sounds like a nice karma! Maybe post your location (Cali IIRC) and model of the Pioneer. Heck, I’m sure some would be more than willing to pay for shipping if you were up for it.

Ya man, totally offer them for just the cost of shipping, if so inclined, as I'm sure there are a lot of people that would love to have a spinner on hand. I have a very old Pioneer ELITE DV-47Ai that I keep around to fill rack space and it still works but the button for the door is a little wonky (sometimes it will open & then close right away even though I only pushed on it once). I also keep it around because it's a universal player for CD/DVD/SACD.

I'm in SoCal Chula Juana (Vista) area of San Diego.

    The Pioneer is a BDP-94HD

I went to take them to Goodwill this morning and they said they no longer take used electronics at that location. Guess too many people were dropping off broken stuff.

I used to have the Sony 3100. That is the unit Sony Laredo wouldn’t fix under warranty. After I got a new one from Crutchfield I enjoyed it for years. Good luck.
