Why would people buy cars they're ashamed of?
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯[/quote]

I had an ugly, beat up looking 78 Dodge pickup with a loud muffler that served me well as a work truck for years. But my high school age girls were ashamed to be seen in it. Whenever they "missed" the bus I would take them to school in that old Dodge right up to the front entrance. Somehow this stopped the problem of the missed buses like magic.

Years ago worked with a guy who showed up at work driving a camaro. Said the wife decided they had enough money put back to get a new car, and he could pick it.

Less than a month later, he showed up in a rag top Geo Metro. It all of a sudden was a little to small to take the kids to school and various activities. He said the worse part was people pointing and laughing when he was stopped at a red light.

Had one of those that I built a custom 440 for. During the local "Hot Neon Nights" car cruise we would do burnouts and get lots of cheers from the spectators. The kids LOVED riding in it then!

Russ is a real person too. Everyone here has been or will be joked with or about from time to time. Sal is a big boy, and were he still coming by here, he would have laughed at that as well.

Still, no benefit to it whatsoever, unless folks just have a need to feel better about themselves. Heck, we don't know how he's doing right now, or where he is in life.

Russ takes it in stride, and actually encourages it. It's part of his persona on here, but I'm sure I didn't really have to clarify that.

Sal still drops by and got himself on the troll list for good reason !! He has no one to blame but himself. Not only was he given ample chances he then went and threw gas on the fire and ADMITTED he wanted nothing better bet to spread c rap here to see how twisted we could get with his flinging fecal matter. THEREFORE Ken banished him to where he is at.

I have seen him make a post from time to time yet none of us can see it.... FOR GOOD REASON
