Just an observation, he's got the bass at +1.5 and the treble at -2.

The prices seems ok to me.

but, but, but... isn't that why these things have tone controls? B)

Hah! Should've known you would have the nicer top panel on yours! Very cool.

Edit: And the nicer top panel for the SA-14S1 as well!!!

But, of course. I also have polished aluminum feet instead of the painted ones and I installed Furutech FI-06 IEC inlets.

Actually, it wouldn't matter what position they are in as I use the tone control bypass, which definitely improves the sound quality.

Where's the Loudness button? Shouldn't the bass be at 2 and the treble be around 4??

That's close, but, should look like a "V" with both ends all the way up and then tapering each one till the middle is all the way at the bottom. And, use the Loudness button as well. Then crank up those Cerwin Vega's till your ears bleed!

I have my PM8005 in power amp only mode and always impressed. I wish I had more disposable cash to play with ‘other’ amps to experience as much as you guys. You seem to have immense fun chopping and changing. This is the burden I must carry living in Vancouver region. Not a cheap place....haha

Yeah, I couldn't find a photo of a suitably Baroque-looking EQ with that iconic curve dialed in :|

I made a thing once, though, for EQs:

I have a tattoo of some lyrics from one of my favorite artist "Life ain't nothing but an eq of highs and lows"

The tattoo is an EQ with each word of the lyrics the slider on each octave... Yeah it is in a V shape... Oh how things have changed. Once I got here I took my EQ out, turned off tone controls and never looked back.

hmmm... well... maybe you can get the tattoo modernized, and instead of a graphic EQ, to feature a Schiit Loki?

Of note, the serial number is blank on that PM10, which may indicate a hot piece of gear.
