HTS-10 will not start up in signal detect mode

Just installed the subwoofer yesterday and ran it all day. Turned off my Denon PMA-30 amp and turned it on this morning, only to discover that the subwoofer will not come on. The Denon amp does not support 12v dc control, so what do I do now???

I unplugged the subwoofer and after the red light went out (ca 20 seconds later) plugged it back in and then it came on. This cannot be the way this is supposed to work, right???

Please advise!

If there is an leave it on option, then just leave it on. Sometimes the auto on doesn't pick up the signal, so just leave it on all the time.
