What cap is everyone using as a bypass cap for the TL MOD ? I like Clarity but cannot come up with the exact value . I see these http://www.soniccraft.com/product_info.php/gen-sonicap-58-uf-200vdc-p-440 . I can get close with the Clarity Cap at a 6.0uF but from what I read that may not be such a great idea.

One more question if I may. If I happened to have a set of SL2500's available and used the 5.8uF would these sound as nice as the 198's. Has anyone listened to this ?

The difference between 5.8 and 6.0 is +3.4%.........much tighter than the original spec.
Whether or not you can hear a difference or like one over the other is debatable. By the specs NO. But this is audio and people here all kinds of things! YMMV.
It also appears in the link you posted they will match a pair of caps for a few dollars. If you ask nice they can probably find some that test under 6.0 -

It's not a bypass cap.
I'm not aware of any Clarity cap with a 6uF value. 5.6uF is their closest to 5.8uF.Political Correctness'.........defined

And indeed you are 100% correct as the cap bypasses nothing. It is simply added...Correct me if I am wrong Jesse. -
Interesting....no one else seems to have the PX in that value. IMO, you're better off using Sonicap over the PX series.
Still not a bypass cap......Political Correctness'.........defined

Done. Thanks again.

5.6uf is close enough, IMO
Have used it on multiple builds with no issues- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
The 5.6uf is within 5% of the value shown on the schematics. Perfectly fine. The SL2500 was the budget SL3000 back in the day. The RD-0198 is light years ahead.Home Theater/2 Channel:

However, if the 5.6uF is at the minus end of the +/-5% tolerance it's even further away from 5.8uF.
One of the great things about Sonicap is if you need 5.8uF they will make sure it is within 1%.Political Correctness'.........defined

With clarity cap, I've never seen their caps outside of spec, they are usually in the 1% range.
I believe they do 3% with the csa- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Ordered the Clarity Caps and the RD 0198's. They are on the way. I just do what Jesse says. Don't want to get beat up, lol

Used a 12uF ClarityCap (the ones with the chrome black label), Mills MRA12 2.5 and Mills M1516 .5 Ohm in the other tweeter positions. -

Still not a bypass cap......
Ordered the SONICAP "http://www.soniccraft.com/product_info.php/gen-sonicap-58-uf-200vdc-p-440" NOT the Clarity cap...Mind is slipping...And the RD-0198's
