I just got my Parasound 1500A amp. However the amp & the Denon don't like each other! They both give off an awful hum.

I've read about the power cord/cable tv hum, I tried plugging the amp directly into the wall I get a hum. When I disconnect the IC from the Denon to the amp the hum goes away on both the receiver & the amp.

What can I do?

Do you have another receiver or amp you can use to swap out components and start ruling stuff out?

It would be good to know which of your components is creating the issue? You could also try switching cables, doubt that's it though...

No I don't have another reciever or amp to swap out. How else can I go about checking components? or switching cables?

Sounds like an interconnect issue to me. Try a different set of cables

Might very well be a bad interconnect. Does it hum no matter what source is selected or just with one, like maybe the TT?

Dont know what Hbomb thought but try it and let us know.

I went to Radio Shack & purchased a TV AM/FM AC line Interference Filter for 19.00.

I will post later after I have a chance to listen to some of my music to see if I hear a difference.

    You fella's are terrific. Thanks!!!
