My older brother and I spent a few hours rifling through the old chest of pictures that she has. Reminiscing about times past and good memories- she was cracking up. I also learned more about my uncles and grandparents (stuff I never knew before). A ton of smiles and laughs - and thankful, grateful for it all.

We can’t speak about food right now - she is on a strict liquid / smoothie / protein shake diet for months!!!!! But we will eventually get there.

When we got her home and settled my dad went to take a shower - NO BUENO!!! The well pipe has developed a leak and is leaking mud into the well. So the water to the house is off. Call has been made to repair and usually this would have been a big deal. We shrugged our shoulders and that was it. My family can’t sweat the small stuff - we have been rewarded with my mom still being here. The well will get fixed in due time-and we can worry about that later!!!! Perspective has been gained at the absolute very least.......

I am glad to hear she is doing better. It can be such an emotionally exhausting journey.
