Vader / Obi Wan duel reimagined

This has been making it around Youtube the last few days and I must say, it's just utterly fantastic! What this small band of SFX people were able to do is nothing short of stunning. Hey Disney, let them have a go at a movie.

No excuses!

Assuming that planet is a full spheroid, rather than a half spheroid, stars shouldn't be seen going all the way to the edge of the sunlit face of the planet. The night side should be blocking them.

I wondered if the same mistake was made in the SW Ep IV. It wasn't. This is a screen shot from the 2011 6-disc Blu-ray set:

Same scene in the fan film:

The fan film used the same star field, Death Star image, and planet Alderaan image. In the fan film Alderaan, was moved over to the left and more stars were added to the right side (night side) of Alderaan.

Plot-wise and writing-wise, this was a brilliant re-imagining of a classic and pivotal sci-fi scene.

Impressive...most impressive. On a lighter note, have you guys seen any of the Chad Vader videos?
