The German word for to drive is fahren. Conjugation: third person present tense: er fährt (he drives). Swedish is apparently similar (it so often is).

When I was young ( I was young once, but now find it difficult to believe), I and my then girlfriend (love of my life - don't tell my wife) had a delightful two week stay in the Austrian town of Hallstat. Hallstat is on a lake, and one day we took a boat trip to the other side of the lake, which on the price list was listed as the Überfahrt. A superior fahrt.
