I am new to Polk speakers and was unaware of the magnet shifting problem which resulted in 2 of the drivers getting damaged voice coils. During the few minutes I got to listen to these, I have decided that I really like them and would appreciate if someone could offer me some spares.

Good Luck. Call Polk Customer Service Wednesday ask for Kim Jasper. Maybe they will have some. They were part of new production at one time, sadly I do not think that is the case anymore. Just in case though. Many of the early speakers that came with the MW6600 later came with the MW6501 so they may be an option. Kim would know all this for sure.

yes I have confirmed it here: Tony (gimpod) did a HUGE amount of work collecting data on these speakers. Look at the yours and early SDA1 1signature and 1A as well as early SDA2 3driver speakers.

My SDA1 Signature's came from the factory with MW6600 in all positions except the SDA driver (dimensional)

I could always get a matched pair of mw6600x and put them in the dimensional position

yep but I'd use Loctite power grab and glue ALL your magnets

I've used all these and like the caulk tube the best. either way you will make some mess smooth it out with your finger and it washes off your finger with soap and water.
another member used this as it creeps into the seam of the magnet and then went over the top with power grab to seal both. He stated he did not moisten the metal before use.

OK this is the one that creeps into the joint. The Go2 stuff was used alone I'll look for that link as well.

So I just called customer support and they are no longer producing producing any mw6501 drivers. They did say that Midwest speaker repair is in the process of producing replacement drivers that are up to spec, but they will not be available until the end of the year.
