This pair of class a monoblocks had been resting in my closet for the past several months. Then a nice man from craigslist stopped by yesterday and took them home with him where hopefully they'll see some use.

I am in the process of finishing the basement now. The up side is that I will, in the very near future have my own custom designed listening space for the first time in the past 4 houses. The down side is I WILL have to thin the herd somewhat, as I won’t have the storage space that I have now.
You should karma those monos to me. I'd give them a very good home keep them dust free and a warm place to live and feed them good quality electricity. -

OK, now you've got me wonderin' whether they ever considered spinnin' off a company to do multichannel home theater amps and callin' it Oligarchy Audio?

Well I JUST got access to my garage after my Aunt kept her whole home in there for the year we have been at this house so nothing is just fine with me.
Going to eventually put in a projector and have a little garage theater for family movie night.
My closet used to be full of goodies, now it just has some extra tubes and messed up polk drivers.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

Nothing in the garage but a set of very old 1960s Aztec speakers that my FIL gave me. I do have a system in the garage that I use though. It is a Realistic receiver with some 1980s Mission sealed 8" woofer speakers. I play that for outdoor parties or when I'm working on the cars.
I used to keep a bunch of surplus gear in a 'magic closet' in the house. Over the years, I have sold off most of it. Right now, the only old/extra gear I have is a Sony KA1ES tape deck (needs belts), a Harmon Kardon 2-ch receiver with matching CD changer, a spare Mission center channel speaker, a 1st gen Sony PS1 (best version for cd playback, needs power supply), and a couple of Radio Shack "amp deal of century" amps (those who have been here for a long time remember them). For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -

Thanks...yes, about 3 years ago, my son and I restored it for the most part, took it about 90% apart and addressed many areas, including the engine. He was 7 at the time so he helped on occasion...lol, but will be a lasting time for him when he gets older.
It was in ok shape when I bought it, but the Kohler needed a rebuild and I took every bolt off that engine and went all out. I figure if it made it 30 years I should put it back to go 30 more.
Here's a few pics.
Night I brought it home.
Evaporust is some amazing stuff.
Now fitted with a 48C deck and front bracket.

Outstanding! I have one but the belt from the deck to the front comes off after using it about 45 minutes. Can't figure out what the problem is. A real solid workhouse of a tractor and when you look at what they cost now its worth it to restore them. I like those Kohlers, made not too far from me. I also have a 140 that's restored.

Does yours have the tension adjustment in the front? If so, there should be a small gap from the mule drive to the frame, if that gap is closed up, you may need a new belt.
Nice, I love the look of the front of the 140's.
-
^^^ Thanks, I'll check that out.

Also, check the mule drive for the belt guide under the pulley.
