VGA Monitor Cables

Hi guys, I just got a new monitor for Christmas, and after awhile the screen turns yellow. I want to switch out the VGA cable to see if that solves the problem.

What I don't know is if they are interchangeable, or if I have the use the cable that came with the monitor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Go digital if at all possible. DVI, HDMI, Display Port, etc.

Thank you, but that doesn't answer my question, I'm trying to work with what I've got.

VGA cables are interchangeable, they are not monitor specific.

VGA Cables should be interchangeable. I've had brand new monitors arrive DOA though, or with issues. Hopefully you can return it if the cables don't fix the issue.

Cool thing I learned about VGA: it is capable of better than 4k resolution...

As said above they are interchangeable. If a new cable doesn't help return the monitor like Verb said.

I hooked my monitor up with an HDMI cable and it looked washed out. Changed to a VGA and the colors are brighter and picture is sharp. Really thought it would be the other way around.

Yeah I did too until I had to hook up my projector through VGA and was concerned it wouldn't handle 1080p... Boy was I wrong.
