Hey guys I have a pair of Polk Audio RTI A7s running a Yamaha PC2002M power amplifier. I am at the next stage of getting a preamp but I have a few models that I’m really interested could you guys give me some advice if you have used these preamps before or come across them and would they go well with my speakers and power amp. I am finally getting rid of the denon receiver and looking to a preamp. I have included the specs of each model I am interested in the reason why I have made this list is because they are all within my price range. I just want to know which would be the best suited and perform really well with the equipment I have.cheers

You'll get better recommendations from folks here if you stay your purpose for this system. Music, HT, both? If music, what do you listen to?

The Cary Audio CPA-1 I have for sale in the flea market might be just what you’re looking for.

Hey yeah mainly listening to music. Bear in mind I’m from Australia guys and I’m aussuming most of you guys are from the U.S audio equipment is so much cheaper in the states compared to here in Australia and even if I can get it at a reasonable price in the states by the time I put logistics costs and import tax it’s well above the resonable price mark. I’ll give you guys a quick price quote of those preamps I mentioned and could you guys tell me if there too much ?
AKAI PRA06 - $350 AUD
DENON DAP 5500 - SELLER WANTED $1000 AUD BUT WILL DO $800 AUD

Is this the PS Audio? https://hometheaterhifi.com/volume_13_1/ps-audio-gcp-preamp-gca-amplifier-1-2006-part-1.html
If so, while that sounds like the best deal, it also sounds like it might be too detailed and analytical for the RTis. If the denon is warmer that might be a better idea. If you can audition with your own speakers that would be best.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
