Arguably the best modern MI (moving iron) design, which provides a lower mass in the cantilever. Works best with belt-drive or idler-drive tt's with the motor off to the side since they are known to have interference/hum when in close proximity to EMF like drive motors or transformers.

Hmmmm.... I've been using an old Grado "G" with my Pioneer PL-530 and haven't had any issues. Is there something different in the newer design that makes them more prone to hum?Stan

No, not at all. If you don't have hum with the G now, you shouldn't have it with the Prestige Gold2 either. You should be...wait for it...Golden!Hmmmm....
