Can't pair Command Bar to Subwoofer.

So I've tried unplugging both, hitting the sync thing on back of sound bar. Alexa gives message in paring mode, I move to subwoofer which is maybe a couple inches from sound bar. Any closer and it will be on top of it. I push in the sync on back of subwoofer. It's green light blinks and blinks and never stops blinking, never pars and eventually Alexa says paring fails.

I don't see any other instructions to try if this fails. I've tried unplugging both and plugging in again. Anyone have this problem and got it to work or know what else I can try?
