    I have the S15 bookshelf speakers and I had the S60 floorstanding speakers for several years before upgrading to the Usher CP-6311 floorstanding speakers. Both of the Polk Signature Series speakers that I own(ed) are ridiculously good at their price points (and beyond). I had the Elac Uni-Fi UB5, UC5, and UF5 speakers as well. In my honest opinion, the Elac speakers are not in the same league as the Polk speakers, despite the higher cost of the Elac's. This hobby is subjective so please keep that in mind when reading my comments.

    I do hope you both enjoy that setup for many years to come and that she gets you something nice when she graduates!

    I got the same Yamaha for a girl I was dating and it’s a nice little unit. Your daughter should be pleased. FWIW I paired with some S15s I found on CL for $100. Good synergy.

    Cool, I already got the elac's, hefty things and the receiver should be here Friday. I am gonna have a case of upgradeitis for her lol.

    Ny daughter moved in with me. Her system is at her mom's house still, probably being abused. But guess what, i have the exact same setup here just in case. The reciever is nib and I am playing around with the elacs. Ran em on a a yami 1040, not bad and now they are hooked up to an old Emo 3 channel even better! Best $150 speakers ever had cept for my 1977 pioneers that got stolen.
