Well, the sell off went much better than expected and even sold some furniture we really didn't need so with an early X'mas present from my daughter I'm looking for a pre. Can be solid state or tube. If someone has a Marsh that would be awesome!

Must haves:

Remote
Extra set of variable outs or sub out.
Phono (nice but ok w/out)
No DAC needed

Any other features would be icing on the cake. I really don't listen much anymore so I'm probably looking at about $350 or so. Please no "save your pennies" for a much more expensive one. Won't happen for a good while if ever.

Thanks!
HT - Polk Lsi9, Lsi7, LsiC, Marsh A200s, B&K ST-1430, Pioneer Elite BDP 62FD, Marantz SR7008, Martin Logan Dynamo, NHT CS-10, Mogami 3103 speaker wire, Mogami 2534 IC

mini HT - Samsung 46" 3D TV + 3D Blu ray player, HK AVR 254, Infinity SL40, Audioengine B1

If you can live without a remote, I have an Adcom GFP-555 that would come in well below your budget.

The first one is a nice looking Rotel setup with amp/preamp and CD player for only 400 bucks.

The second is for a Threshold Preamp. He may be flexible on the price, but it is above the pricepoint requested.

The third is an Emotiva, which may be the best option overall, and option 4 is an Eico tube preamp...

    Good luck and happy hunting.

Make sure you try and pick it up from the clean end, and never listen on a hot, muggy day.

Gonna need some tubes Dave? Or is this all SS? >:)
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Schiit Saga. I may. Trying to get a couple more things sold, too. Check the RAS facebook page for a pic of the tubes I'll have.
