Toby "brown dog" Update

It's been about 40 days now with 20 more to go and Toby (brown dog) has settled in quite well.
Indoors, he's great. No accidents, no chewing and always at our side.
Outdoors in the fenced area, he's on high alert over anything that moves.
However, a few days ago, 2 individuals stopped by to ask if we needed any tree trimming work. I was not home at the time.
Brown dog was right there at my wife's side when she spoke to the people at the front door and he must have sensed something not quite right.
According to my wife, the sounds he made and how the hair on his back stoop up along with his tail hair turning somewhat black was even more attention getting than when he goes after the rabbits and squirrels in the rear fenced area.
After she got him calmed down, he followed her everywhere, when she did sit down somewhere, he would sit next to her and just put his head in her lap to be petted.
Here he is smiling after we played with his favorite toy, 2 old tube socks tied together.
He likes tug of war and catching it in the air when you throw it.

Dogs are great judges of character.

He now shows more comfortable facial expressions than when we first brought him home.

Awesome! Maybe sometime I will meet him. He looks like a awesome dog!"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

Once I get passed everything going on, I'd like to have a GTG and let the tunes fly.

I have 2 old friends who believe their Rottweilers are the best protection pets to own. They sure are intimidating. But so are Chihuahua's.
I'm glad your Toby was there to protect and advise!
I can see Toby looking at those guys like this in a way.
I'm not liking what I'm looking at!
There's something not quite right here!
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

I gotta get my camera back from my daughter....
We gotta a new 4 legged friend, her name is Hazel. Pitbull mix, smaller than Tobey and quite a cuddler.
Sad note. Tobey went back to the shelter, he started getting aggressive with my wife and most other people. With me, he was at my side always just fine. I think he just bonded with me for some reason.
I have visited him twice with his new owner and he reacts to me like an old friend.
He seems happy and is in a 1 person/male home, seems fine.
Never had a pitbull anything but Hazel Bug as my wife calls her is quite passive at most anything, cept when the wife's work I encourage her to get the rabbit's at the garden, she's getting closer and patrols the yard quite well.
We don't tell the wife about the rabbit thing
