Second fav is that one.
Fantastic album though. -
Never heard this album, will have to give it a listen.
-
It's my favorite Tool album. Lateralus is second.
Agreed. With split Aenima and Undertow for third IMO
I just listened to 10,000 days (song) and had the lights off (funny how taking sight out of the equation really emphasizes the imaging and Sonics in music) and that storm really does surround you very well. Fantastic production. -

I'd have to say "right in two" as well. The music video is pretty cool.

I ALWAYS have to have the lights turned off to really get into the music...or at least cover my eyes completely.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

There are no songs on this album that I don't like. I saw them in concert 2x on this tour and once on their most recent tour last year. The Pot is a very good song but it's impossible to nail down one that's the best. Wings for Marie (Part 1) + 10,000 Days (Part 2) is/are amazing (Chills up & down my spine every time). Right in Two is excellent. Vicarious is a great way to open the album followed immediately by Jambi. Lost Keys + Rosetta Stoned...OMG. It's a progressive metal journey through the album from start to finish.
IMHO, all of TOOL's albums have different things to offer and are a very special masterpiece throughout from beginning to conclusion. 10,000 days is their most mature offering that's very well put together but it doesn't take anything away from Undertow, AEnima, Lateralus, or Opiate. It's just a great band that always seems to be firing on all cylinders all the time. Ya, I'm a fan A Big Fan!Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

I’ll throw this out there: two of my favorite Tool songs of all time are on a hard to find special edition CD called Salival
One is their cover of Led Zep’s No Quarter, simply fantastic
And then the best ever IMO is their redux of Pushit live. This is a journey I wish I would have been at live. Fantastic if you have not heard it. -

Well said!! I couldn’t agree more!! They are my favorite band of all time next to Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd...

I love NIN as well, can’t wait to see them at Red Rocks next month for a third time at that venue but this time we have 8th Row..

Saw NIN in Atl early 90’s on the Downwards spiral tour. So good.
Huge fan there too. Year Zero is a masterpiece. -
10,000 Days here as well, especially on the SDAs.
For demo purposes on the HT rig, have to go with Rosetta though; the look on peoples faces is usually priceless at -10, but it's tough to listen to that whole song at that volume level. So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Very
I saw NIN on their Further Down the Spiral tour, the With Teeth tour 3x, the Wave Goodbye tour at the Aragon Ballroom (Best show, maybe. lol). I don't think that there was a bad show in that group.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

Agree with Right in Two, but love the whole album. 10,000 days was my first exposure to Tool. Went to a concert with my son (who forced my to go, aka buy tickets), and been a fan ever since.
I've ventured into A Perfect Circle since as well.

They've been rumored to be "back in the studio" for quite a while now. They had some legal issues that were holding things up that have now been resolved. Many people have been expecting a new album for a bit as they are way overdue.
I saw them in concert at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois the week before I walked with the class of 2017 at the same venue. They played a bunch of great material and one "new" song.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro
