The album Geddy Lee says he wishes was never released. Written and recorded in a few weeks to make the label happy.
I am not sure why he said that.....one of their best early albums. Blew away their debut and introduced their new sound with Pert. He regrets not releasing By tor and the snow dog? or Anthem? or Beneath between behind? or the title track?
It also blows away their next album Caress of steel which presumably they could take their time with.
To each his own but this is my favorite rush album (I prefer their early stuff+. If I had a TT I would have been in. -
He said they threw it together, recorded it, and released it without them putting their hearts and soles in it like all their other albums. I'm a pretty big Rush fan but not so much for the first 3 albums. Fly By Night is definitely the best of the 3 in my opinion though.

Big Rush fan and one of the few I'm sure who thinks that Caress of Steel is a great under rated album. It has some real gems on it. The whole side two was a trial run at 2112 if you ask me.
