Bluetooth wont stay connected

Not sure what to do here. I have the the Polk soundbar wired directly to my TV which works fine. Its when I connect the bluetooth to my record player which is also bluetooth that the issue happens. After a few seconds of being connected and playing the record, Alexa says "optical, now disconnected from bluetooth" every single time, no matter what I do. please help, any advice?
