SDA 1 or SDA1A....

Hey guys,
I can pick up one or another of a set of Polk SDA1s locally. The SDA1A are signature series, have had the crossovers rebuilt with sonicaps, refinished wood cabs, two of 4 tweets upgraded to the rdos, dynamat on the drivers, and upgraded binding posts. But he wants $1,000. Horizontal tweeters.
The other set are untouched. The wood needs to be refinished. No interconnect. SL1000 tweets in a vertical array. Original crossovers. But he wants $275..... Thoughts?

1000.00 is crazy imho unless there is serious new wood veneer.
The sl1000 tweeters in a vertical array throws me. All the SDA's I'm aware that used sl1000 were top and horizontal. -

Wrong tweeters in the wrong cabinet is my guess. -
Sounds like a 1B/1C cabinet.
A true SDA 1 can be converted to a 1A. Polk once provided a kit and instructions. I thought the result of that was the SDA 1 Signature.
