This Lightning server doesn't lock up as much if I leave it on. Can you just leave it plugged in without hurting it?

iPad batteries last a long time
I don't like keeping any of my portable topped off so to speak. You can probably use a couple days then plug in over night and so on2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures

Bruce, is it the app that locks up when your iPad's display goes to sleep? This is for your Auralic Mini, yes?
iPads have pretty good battery life, don't they? Maybe you can set your display to stay on all the time, and just dim it as needed with the quick-access control during your listening sessions.
But yes, what Ron said - it'll melt.
And burst into flames.

@msg Scott, correct. I do have the display turned down but I don't see the sleep settings.
-
Sleep settings, maybe do not disturb.
Your auto-lock function is under display and brightness. -

I keep my iPad mini plugged in to full charge, then I unplug it and use it down to around 30-40% or so (usually 2-3 days) and then go and set it on my desk and plug it in til it’s charged.
I don’t think it’s good for a battery to be charged to a high capacity for extended periods of time, or to be fully dead for extended periods of time. It’s recommended by Apple, Lenovo, drone manufacturers, anyone who makes batteries, etc. to store your device fully shut down at around 60% battery. If you are coming back in a few days, then don’t worry about it, but if it’s more than a week, I discharge it down to around 60% and shut it down. -
I wouldn't, Ipad power supplies get really HOT.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Mine don't. I have a regular iPad Retina, and an iPad mini-Retina, and neither get hot even though they are plugged in 24/7.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

The charging block plugged into the wall doesn't get hot? I think that's what he means. Some of our charging blocks get warm, and others don’t. None of them get hot enough to be worried about, IMO. -
No. Just checked. They are room temperature.

I'm talking about the charger. What's odd is my wifes Ipad mini 3 PS gets hotter than my Ipad mini 4, but even my 4 PS gets pretty darn warm.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
