Just curious, How many people use the little rubber feet that come with some of the centers and surround speakers?

I just got my LSiC, and wondered if any one actually uses these feet.

Are there any advantages?

Are there any reasons not to use them?

I use the little rubber feet on my center and surrounds. I only do it to keep them from falling off the stands and TV.

They do provide decoupling (sp) to the surface the speaker is placed upon, I would assume.

I heard an improvement especially the bass when I used the plastic feet between my LSi9 and speaker stands. The ones on the speaker stands were too soft and thin.

Sounds like most people use the little rubber feet.

What benefit does the decoupling provide?

    just wondered

Decoupling can reduce or eliminate unwanted resonances and vibrations that can be transferred to the speaker stands or whatever the speaker is set on.

I use the rubber feet. They are easy to take off if you need to and the adhesive can also be removed at a later date if needed.

    No harm no foul here.

LOL! I can just see the speaker vibrating off the top of the TV like an alarm clock going off! :p

I use the rubber feet! The center I use it to tilt the center down to the listening position. I doubled the rear & use single in the front. Easy way of directing the speaker angle.

I put my rubber bumpers on the corners of my speaker stand so as to not ruin the finish on my speakers. They definitely help absorb extraneous speaker vibrations.
