This was my prized possession in middle school - carried it everywhere.

That reminds me of those little sheet metal "friction" cars that when you pry the tabs up, it had Japanese writing on the inside of the body like it was from a beverage can. They also had razor sharp edges that you could lose a digit to. Maybe it was revenge for the bomb?

How about pea shooters? We always had one of those in our shirt pocket as well as a supply of ammo. Lots of the non-propeller type balsa wood airplanes also. Used to try to hit them in the air with the peas.

BB guns as well once we were a little older. "You'll shoot your eye out".

If your family had a cat when you were growing up, this was always a great "toy" to drag on the floor as you walk/run away for entertainment:

Remember Mallo Cup coins that the store you got them from would give you cash equivalent for. I used to love seeing 1.00 or something like that. It was like scratch-offs that you didn't have to scratch.

those mallow cups were delicious too. Same with the Zugnuts. I'm sure dentists got a lot of business years later and maybe still. They're still for sale!

How about the chopper bike made by cutting forks off one bike and driving onto your bike.
    kgtre3owlnpx.jpeg

My forks fell off when popping a wheelie. I rode that wheelie for a quarter of a mile before doing a flying "W" over the handlebars on touch down and damn near breaking my neck.
