Unable to Sync SR1 Surround Speakers

I recently bought a Magnifi Max sound bar in concert with the purchase of an LG C7 OLED TV. I readily was able to sync the sound bar with the sub woofer, whose light remains a solid green. Even though I experienced audio delay issues with some channels from DirecTV (despite implementing several permutations of the TV’s audio settings, tracking with recommendations advanced in multiple threads at relevant websites) I sufficiently was impressed with the sound quality to buy the SR1 surround speakers.
The instructions to activate the rear speakers seem clear, mandating depressing the sync button for at least ten seconds until the flashing green light turns solid. Yet I am unable to accomplish this step, with the light continuing to blink, despite holding the button on each speaker (both separately and concurrently) for 30 seconds or more.
Any suggestions for a technology-challenged septuagenarian?

Resolved the matter – with rear speakers (purchased a few weeks after obtaining the Magnifi Max) now working appropriately – by fully re-accomplishing the sync process. This initially desynchronized the subwoofer so that measure had to be undertaken again.

Tried everything to pair the SR1 surround speakers with the MagniFi Max, but haven't called Polk yet, that is next on my list. Is there some secret way to sync I should try before calling customer service? The right one seems to pair (light turns solid) but the left turns solid and then blinks again. The sub syncs with no problem...
