i have one of these and it is a great sounding amp even if it weighs 100 lbs :'(

http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=156417.msg1674101;topicseen#new

if you only do 2 channel you can use the third channel board as backup or you can make this a 6 channel amp ($1200 per extra channel drop in boards).

https://www.ayre.com/v6xe.htm
his ad is a little confusing as he says evolution v6x. i have the v6xe which is the evolution upgrade which is their top model.
asked him to clarify in his post. either way this is a great amp.

ok, this is the v6x not the v6xe.

While I have no doubt it is a fine amp, given my recent experience, I am done with any electronics with “Evolution” in the name...

given recent news from Austin, not sure that's a good thing.
maybe get a friend to open the box for you when it arrives...

Does that mean it's not intelligently designed?

oy, vey... I apologize for both of those bon mots (or is that bons mot?)

the seller now has confirmed with ayre that he has a v6xe. that is the top upgrade for the amp.
