Back in the game... sort of!
I'm new to this forum, but referenced it prior to my latest purchase. To make a long story agonizing, I used to sell high-end audio, and spent the better portion of my early adulthood playing "audiophile". My very first speaker purchase was a pair of Bose 901's (Okay... stop making faces), an Onkyo integrated amp, and a Denon turntable. Since that time, speaker purchases included the old Qysonic Arrays, DCM Timewindows, Polk 12's, and finally a pair of Accoustat Monitors paired with NAD separates (blah-blah-blah). The endless procession of expensive audio equipment faded with a shift in life priorities, and eventually I settled for boxed Home Theater (more gagging).
A couple of years ago, yours truly awoke from this pathetic slumber, and eased back into some better gear. I picked up an Onkyo HT-R593 receiver and the entire budget Polk "T" series (50's, 30, 15's, and a pair of PS108 subs) surround system. Yesterday the UPS man brought a pair of Polk Signature Series 55's. These are the first of several purchases coming down the pike. Next is the Signature Series 30 center speaker. I will continue to run the T15's as my rear speakers, no hurry there. Eventually the Onkyo receiver will be replaced, but for now it adequately serves its purpose.
Personal taste in audio equipment is subjective, based on listener preference. What I find satisfactory may not be another's choice. If there is one thing I have learned, we aren't made using cookie cutters... we are different (bet you didn't know THAT). A second opinion is appreciated, but in the end, whatever pleases you is what you should go with. That said, it is good to be back in the game, at least part of the way.

Welcome. I find this forum a bit more responsive than other so called audio forums. I sometimes cross post if it’s not specifically a Polk related question but I find I get more responses here in general. There a good loyal following even if they started with Polk and moved onto a step beyond.
