Strange volume controls with Magnifi Mini

I just bought the Magnifi Mini, and the volume control is really weird on the unit. There's a significant delay from when I push volume up or volume down and when the unit actually adjusts the volume. So what ends up happening is that I'm not sure if it registered, so I hit it again, or I hold it down longer, and suddenly it jumps to 100% and the whole neighborhood can hear it. It's super frustrating.

Does anyone know if this is by design?

    I have the same experience. Not sure if it's "by design" or whatever the reason would be.. But its definitely annoying!

    This + the fact that HDMI ARC doesn't really work properly, makes it really annoying that you can't control the volume through the TV / HDMI ARC, but instead have to use the remote, that.. well.. does this!
