Connect Polk magnifi mini to Wifi via Google home

The Google home app gives a message that the Polk is made for another country and can't connect with my Wifi. I live in the Netherlands and bought the Polk here.

I connected the mini to my router via an ethernet cable, that did the trick. It also seems to have resolved my failing Bluetooth connection (cutting in out of music every few seconds). Waiting to see whether it stays stable.
